Winter Blog Hop - Beneath the Pines at Bridal Falls

Thanks for Blog Hopping with the Creative Life Scrapbooking Team.

Hope you are enjoying all the great ideas so far.

For my Blog Hop I Created a layout with Beneath the Pines Collection.

For this layout I used 2 patterned papers for my base.

Using the patterned paper with the trees cut two pieces at 3.5 inches and  place on the top of the layout.

For the fun Title I used the beneath the pines mat pack card.

Using the the heart CCS pattern, cut a heart using the the Red blade.

To create layers I used the green blade with the wild oats that was in the cardstock buffet promo.

Use the blue blade with the black shimmer cardstock. 

( The black and white cardstock would also be also fabulous )

I embellished the title with stickers and beneath the pines laser cut embellishments and the spiky evergreen border maker punch.

I used border stickers to connect the back ground papers 

I used some mats from the mat pack and papers to mat the photos .. 

Don't forget about this great  2 way corner rounder .. its a quick way to add interest to your pages.

I used the inverted side of the corner rounder punch with some of my mats

to create a fun journaling box I used a mat from the mat pack.

 Cut with trimmer at 2.5 inches  and then punched with the new tag punch.

I layered with stickers and other embellishments 

To create another cluster I used the oval CCS and some punch outs using the spiky evergreen border maker cartridge. I added a few fun stickers to finish off the cluster.

I used a Frame that I had from the Keepsakes laser cuts ..matches perfectly.

Love how a lot of the collections go together so fabulously .

Pool fun with the Playtime theme pack

Want to make this fun layout? Its easy with  the Playtime theme pack 

 Grab a couple photos and your Playtime theme pack and lets get started

Use the dark blue patterned paper as the base.

Cut a strip of the raindrop patterned paper at 4" to use as a base under your title

Let's create the POOL title

Use the solid cardstock

to make it a little easier to keep lettering at the same size I cut the cardstock to 4"

To create the "P" I used the small circle CCS template with the blue blade to create the inside circle on the top part. for the outside of the top used the red blade with the medium circle. 

I cut only about half the circle. and then used the trimmer and cut a 1 inch strip to create the stem

 

To create the "L" cut a 4 inch by 2 inch strip and cut a 1 inch X 3 inch strip out.

For the Fun floaty  "O's" I used the rainbow patterned paper 

With the inside of the large CCS circle with the Red blade

for the outside of the "O"

and used the inside of the Smallest CCS circle with the red blade 

for the inside cut of the "O"

Cut 2 

 Place the letters on the page as desired

and add stickers to embellish

Adhere the border sticker at the edge of the patterned paper 

Use the rest of the rain paper to mat your photos  

Embellish with more stickers and add foam squares to create dimension 

arrange the grass, tree, and pool stickers at the bottom of layout

 finish off with journaling of choice

Step it up with the Just Dance theme

Loving this new Theme Pack " Just Dance"

Let's see how I created this layout 

you will need to cut a 4'' by 12" strip of silver cardstock.  Punch on both sides with the dazzle border punch or a border punch of  your choice.

Punch out a strip with the Crystal chain border maker cartridge using black cardstock,

 Using your scissors or trimmer cut design in half 

Using this paper out of the theme pack, cut the top one inch strip to help create your border for this layout. Also cut out the"shine bright" rectangle and striped rectangle 

cut the rectangles to measure 2.5 inches wide and then punch in the tag punch

use some of the die cuts from the Keepstakes package

using the other side of the patterned paper, cut a circle using the large CCS circle pattern with the blue blade. Can also use some of the extra paper for matting photos.

Tip: Use embellishments or punched paper to cover unwanted objects in your photo.

I used the a punched tag to cover a chair in the photo below.

Assemble the border using repositional tape. 

Use stickers and other embellishments to decorate your layout.

Happy project recipe kit - thinking out of the box

The happy album is fabulous for that on the go scrapbooker, planner enthusiasts or even if you just want a smaller scrapbook or like to journal  and take selfies.
I just just love the layouts,colors and those  little mini pocket pages of the happy project recipe kit #13 and was thinking it would go great in my 12x12 album.
Well here's some ideas to fit these great recipes into your 12x12

 Use in your F2F albums ...add a few photos and done.

or use with your favorite paper pack or cardstock with great stickers or embellishments

you can even rotate your recipe, if you have photos that are portrait style

Christmas Card - Rolling hills

Check out the steps below on how to put this fun card together.

For this Card you will need. 

• Custom cutting system ( oval templates)
• tape runner ( both regular and repositional)
• Embossed Bow punch
• winter vine punch
• rolling hills border maker punch ( will be available soon in 2019)
• midnight star border maker punch
• foam squares
• frost accent paper ( or paper of choice)
• evergreen, white, navy, shimmer  cardstock
• personal cutter
• scissors

Cut white oval using the blue CCS (creating a 3 x 2 1/4 circle) and then without moving the template use the Red CCS cutter ( cutting a 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 circle) to form the frame

Use a 4 X 5 1/4 piece of patterned paper and 

cut an oval using the green cutter blade  (2 1/2 x  3 1/4) of the same template in the upper center so you leave room for the bow below.

Punch a embossed bow using the shimmer cardstock of choice

Punch out midnight star border using navy cardstock and cut a small strip of shimmer to go behind. Using white and evergreen cardstock, cut 2 rolling hills borders. Use the repostional taper runner to adhere the midnight star border to shimmer cardstock and off set the 2 rolling hills borders to create dimension. 

using the repositional tape runner, adhere the white oval border to the patterned paper. Using foam squares to create dimension. 

 Using navy cardstock, punch out a row of winter vine. Use scissors to cut a small smaller sections.

Us a 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 piece of white cardstock  and fold in half .

This will be your card base.

Use all parts and assemble to create this finished card.
